DOUBLE VISION...

World © Geoff Wilkinson - All rights reserved

Fabulous weather in Wanstead last Saturday. I was taking a look around George Green and a close look at the old horse trough on the corner, built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. I really admire the clever thinking of the architect giving us this double aspect view of Wanstead.

  1. Of course that was relocated a while ago so the view would've been different ... it used to stand in the middle of the junction (although I'd need to consult someone with better historical knowledge of Wanstead (my Dad!) to confirm when)

    1. Hi Gavin,

Thank you for your comment. You are quite right, it has been moved from its original location and as you say the view would have been different. It would have been closer to the High Street but would still give you "double vision". Would have been good to have seen it from that aspect.

      Best wishes
      Geoff
