This is the alley that runs between Woodbine Place and the High Street, I don't think it has a name, if you know otherwise please let me know. I have photographed it before in daylight, click here to check it out, but at night it takes on another personality. I think it's because there is a bend half way along so you don't know what's around the corner...
Rendering it in black and white like this, you could imagine perhaps Whitechapel in 1888. Admittedly, I might be saying that because I'm reading a book that features the Ripper early on.
ReplyDeleteYour not far wrong William. I have taken a lot of pictures in the Spitalfieds area of Whitechapel, very much J the R ground! I have one particular favourite that I I'll publish on the blog.
