GOOD MORNING...

I walked to the gallery this morning in the sunshine, said hello to a couple of people, spoke to a young lady out jogging, she was on her way to see the bluebells in Wanstead Park before they finally fade. What a lovely start to the day. I passed this bush growing over a wall in Nutter Lane, I have no idea of the   name or species but it looked glorious, such vibrant colour. Enjoy the weekend.

NUTTER LANE..

These chains are in front of a house in Nutter Lane, I believe they mark a right of way. I have always found them of interest but not easy to make look interesting in a photograph. Last night I photographed them illuminated by car headlights and and I think it works.

A SUMMER EVENING...

I thought I would put on a more tranquil picture today after the hurrying pizza delivery man yesterday. I was passing Wanstead Central Bowls Club in Nutter Lane a couple of  evenings ago, the light was great for photography. The entrance was open looking onto the green and this lady was about to bowl, I thought it made a lovely classic summer evening photograph.

CRICKET LOVELY CRICKET..

It's not Lords or The Oval but it is Wanstead's own cricket pitch, in fact we have two. One in Overton Drive and this one is in Nutter Lane, every time I pass there seems to be a match going on. Wonderful sight.

NUTTER LANE.

Nutter Lane, one of the oldest roads in Wanstead was named after the Nutter family who were benefactors to the parish.  It was formerly George Lane until the name change in 1934.
