AFTER DARK...

So I was thinking...why always photograph swans on lakes in sunshine? So here are swans on Snaresbrook pond at night, a long exposure has made them streaky, I think it looks best in black and white. Love it or hate it it's something I might explore further...

Although the fab Wanstead Art Trail finished last weekend I couldn't resist showing you a picture of this wonderful swan, its a little weatherbeaten but who wouldn't be after all the rain we've had! It was made by the pupils of Snaresbrook Primary School, well done all round just as graceful as the real thing...

TOGETHER..

I understand that in popular mythology that a pair of swans stay together for life. I spotted this pair on Eagle Pond last week, although far apart they seem to be mirroring each other in shape and position. Anyway true or not it was beautiful light  for photography and I thought it made a really nice picture. Have a great week.

LONE SWAN

Saw this lone swan on the lake of Wanstead Golf Course, it just struck me as unusual as swan's are usually seen in pairs. I'm sure the partner was not very far away.

THE SUN GOING DOWN ON ME...

Leaving Waitrose in South Woodford I saw these incredible colours appearing on the horizon and immediately sped to Snaresbrook Pond. Low and behold I captured these amazing colours a few seconds before they drifted away toward the City. Another one in the bag !
