SITTING PRETTY...

I have to say I'm more of a dog person rather than cat person. That said as I pulled up in the car at the Gallery the other day this lovely looking cat was sitting on a roof just watching the world passing by.. I'm not sure if it was a boy or a girl but whatever it was very pretty and sitting so elegantly..

January has been a very busy month but hopefully back to normal now (whatever that is), if you live locally we look forward to seeing you at next Sundays Wanstead Farmers Market...

This little cat appears most nights in the same spot in Chester Road, sitting in waiting when I pass by on my way home from the Gallery.  One evening I saw him/her rushing to greet a family as they arrived home.  I can only imagine that this is the intent and why he or she waits there patiently. So cute.

Passing through Wanstead Place a few days ago I spied this cat keeping an eye on me.  Was he on watch or just intrigued at my antics with the camera, not sure but very cute.  

BALANCING ACT...

Driving along Mansfield Road the other morning when Mrs Wilkinson spotted this cat balancing on a fence. It sat obligingly for a photo but I always wonder how do cats do that ? As you can see from the picture it is perched on a piece of fencing about 2 inches wide and about 7 foot off the ground, I know they have great balance but how comfortable can it be ?

Wow was it hot in Wanstead yesterday, I don't know what the temperature was but it was certainly more like summer. This cute cat had to evacuate the room and find a cool spot on the first floor window ledge outside. Lets hope the sun continues all weekend, check out WansteadWeather for a forecast.

THE CAT AND THE BANANA!

This is stretching the boundaries a bit both of Wanstead and reality.  I was driving through Sidney Road off Wanstead Flats when I was confronted by this giant banana. I have heard of the cat and the canary but cat and banana is a whole new ball game. Although the cat's expression seems to be defying me taking a picture, I took it anyway. No standoff then.
