Mrs W spotted this wonderful sky late yesterday evening. I popped along to one of my favourite sky 'locations', the footbridge over the A12 and managed to get these two pictures before it disappeared.

I'm gobsmacked by those colours!
ReplyDeleteI would love to pay you a visit but unfortunately that won't be possible...
Now would that be nightingale as in bird or as in Florence (or both?!)
So pleased that you like the pictures. I managed to grab them at the very, very end of the day. I don't think that light lasted more than 60 or 90 seconds, it was spectacular. I do quite like vivid, rich colours in my pictures apart from the B & W of course! As I understand it Nightingale Lane was named after Nightingale Farm which was close by many, many years ago when Wanstead was mainly fields, we are very luck as we are still surrounded by green spaces and parks. Perhaps the farm was named after the bird or Florence ?
