BLUE SKIES..

World © Geoff Wilkinson - All rights reserved

You probably realise by the view that this photograph was not taken in Wanstead. I have been looking through photographs that I took on a French trip a couple of years ago, this is one of my favourites. The blue sky just reminded me of sunshine and warmth, something sadly lacking for the last little while in London. In case you are wondering this is the bridge that runs from La Rochelle to Ile d Re, one of my very favourite places, roll on summer...

  1. It reminds me a bit of the Confederation Bridge here in Canada, linking the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

    1. I'm a big fan of bridges and islands, I always wonder where the bridge leads and what's on the island

  2. Nice perspective Geoff. It is -10°C here today. I appreciate any photo with sunshine and warmth.

  6. Though I've been on that bridge, I've never seen it from underneath! It's a great angle!

    1. As soon as I find something big to photograph rather than back off to get it all in I stand underneath it. Sometimes it works...
