....obessed when it comes to bridges. You may have seen this bridge before, its quite near my home. Some days the sun goes down and you get a magical sky behind it,  then it's transformed for a short period  from a bridge to a sculptural form...

.....and you should see the bridge I have just found, a picture later this week hopefully...

Typically we all look to the West when watching the sun set, I think this applies all over the world. The other day I looked in the opposite direction towards the East and found this amazing cloud formation. I love the way the colour changes dramatically the closer you get to the horizon...

There have been some fabulous skies over Wanstead lately especially at sunset. This evening was no exception, I really like the 'V' shape created by the trees with the colour behind and the clouds above....

I've been a bit neglectful of the night sky recently, or the sunset at least. However the other evening there was a very brief period when it looked terrific, I rushed to my favourite bridge and just managed to squeeze off a few shots I'll post another tomorrow...

Lovely sky the other evening as the sun went down. As so often happens it only lasted a few minutes before the colours changed and the 'lights went out' so to speak. I grabbed this shot before to all happened... oh.. and I like the moon in picture as well.

It's taken looking along Elmcroft Avenue from the junction with Buckingham Road, pretty spectacular sunset I thought....

Mrs W spotted this wonderful sky late yesterday evening.  I popped along to one of my favourite sky 'locations', the footbridge over the A12 and managed to get these two pictures before it disappeared.

Smashing sky as the sun got lower on Tuesday evening. I couldn't resist taking a picture,  although I do have to curb my enthusiasm  for sky photography otherwise I wouldn't publish anything else. Anyway to make it a little different I photographed it reflected in my car window and so picked up reflections from other odds and ends. Not conventional I know but I do rather like it.

I grabbed this shot very quickly in South Woodford the other week. There is a building site with a lot of scaffolding with polythene wrapped around it and as you can see the sun was setting behind it. It all just seemed to glow.

Had another wander over to Wanstead Flats the other evening. I found this plant, I assume it's a weed, growing by the side of the road. Weed or not I think it looks great against the sunset.

The British weather at the moment seems to vary between high summer and autumn wind and rain.  Wanstead Flats where this was taken only a couple of weeks ago was lush and green and now looks parched. However, It doesn't prevent a worthwhile picture and I snapped these grasses against a dramatic sunset.

I was crossing Wanstead Flats yesterday in the early evening. There was a really great sky and as the sun started to set behind these flowers they turned into silhouettes. Just a simple photograph but I really think it works.
