Apologies for missing a couple of days, just so much going on. I spoke yesterday at a coffee morning at John Lewis department store in Oxford Street, showing pictures and telling stories to a great crowd. I did a recce a few days ago for an upcoming photo walk next month, I shot this picture near St Paul Cathedral in a wonderful old street. When I found this lovely old lamp I just knew the finished photograph would have to be in black and white.
There's a superb tiny restaurant tucked in a itty bitty street near there called de palos. Great prices. Great food! ~Leandra
ReplyDeleteThanks Leandra, I'll be checking that out..
DeleteIt gives the photograph a very classic feel in black and white.
ReplyDeleteI think so, I wish it were yellow line free though
DeleteGeoff, it's great you shared this in black and white, it brings the vintage feel here in its entirety. I love it!

DeleteDefinitely a black and white moment Geoff, super image. Sounds like you're having an interesting time, do you do many photo walking tours, big groups ?
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Grace. I do them whenever possible, this will be the first this year but we do have quite a few planned tha will run throughput the year. I don't do big groups usually around six maximum, I like to make sure everyone is getting good pictures. I don't take pictures myself on these walks I just concentrate on helpng people with all the technical stuff, composition and off course idea. Sorry it's a bit long winded!
